Home educated children aged 5+ and their grown-ups are invited to join us at Pontefract Castle as we celebrate the Christmas season with some Tudor-inspired festive crafts. In this workshop, we will: discover some of the traditions that the people who lived and worked at Pontefract Castle in Tudor times would have followed at Christmastime get Christmas-crafty modelling tasty sugar-mice treats creating sweetly-scented spice bags fashioning festive paper crowns making fun Tudor-style toys! PLEASE NOTE: In this workshop participants will come into contact with food stuffs including sugar paste and various spices.
