Leicester Square Theatre

Leicester Square Theatre

Leicester Square Theatre's history includes a late-70s Small Faces residency, appearances from the Rolling Stones and the Who, as well as being the venue where The Clash previewed their London Calling material. However, since re-opening in 2008, the venue has welcomes not just music, but also both big and small-name comedians -- presenting itself as one of the foremost comedy venues in the country. Its two spaces -- the main 400-seat venue and the more intimate 70-seat Lounge Theatre -- showcase comedy, cabaret, theatre and music. The theatre is two minutes' walk from Leicester Square tube station and ten minutes from Charing Cross mainline station. The nearest car parking is in the Q-Park in Chinatown -- there is no parking in Leicester Square.

A twentieth anniversary tour! After many years of giving his wonderful lecture talks of his he does, Count Arthur Strong has at last bowed to substantial pubic demand and allowed himself be talked into making the show about himself for once. And that had never occurred to him before because of him being highly magnanimous. From his breakthrough Edinburgh Fringe show ‘Forgotten Egypt’ in 2002, to talking about himself in 2022. Arthur has two decades of memories from his ten national tours, 15 years of his multi Award winning radio show, and three series of his BAFTA nominated TV sitcom.

Jason Byrne: Audience Precipitation

He’s back for more comedy chaos! Jason has learnt over the past few years that we all need to “play” a bit more in our lives. With this in mind, Jason will do what he does best, connecting with the audience in a way no other comic can. Whether it’s inviting or dragging (as it has been known) people up onto stage and making a “holy show of them” as they say in Ireland. Jason’s Audience Precipitation, will be a laugh out loud, must see show, with a light drizzle of audience participation… ooohhh clever that. TV Credits Also seen on Live at the Apollo (BBC1), The Royal Variety Performance (ITV1), The John Bishop Show (BBC1), and Father Figure (BBC1) Ireland’s Got Talent (Virgin), Wild Things (Sky1) Recommended for ages 14+ “Unmissable” - Evening Standard “Watching a new Jason Byrne show is a bit like witnessing lightning in a botttle” – Edinburgh Evening News  “Byrne is consistently brilliant” – The Metro  “The outright king of live comedy” - The Times
