Monkey Barrel Comedy announces more Edinburgh Fringe shows for 2026

As it approaches its first full decade of laughs, Monkey Barrel Comedy has announced a new tranche of 62 shows for this year’s Edinburgh Fringe. Tickets for the newly-announced shows go on sale on Wednesday 1 April from the Edinburgh Fringe website (£10-tier Patreon members can access a pre-sale now) but tickets are already available for Ania Magliano, Lara Ricote, Phil Ellis and others.

Monkey Barrel has a nice line in last year’s Edinburgh Comedy Awards nominees and winners. From Best Show, there’s nominees Ed Night and Ian Smith, while from Best Newcomer there’s nominee Roger O’Sullivan, and winner (and Saturday Night Live UK performer) Ayoade Bamgboye. Her fellow SNL UK cast-member Paddy Young also has two shows at the venue, plus there’s a glut of the brand-new and much-discussed TV show’s writers performing at Monkey Barrel: Bella Hull, Celya AB, Chris Cantrill (from The Delightful Sausage fame) and Lorna Rose Treen.

For anyone looking for a more experienced performer, there’s a good selection of Fringe veterans on offer, including Carl Donnelly, Catherine Bohart, Felicity Ward, James Acaster, John-Luke Roberts, Nish Kumar, Stuart Goldsmith and Tamsyn Kelly.
