How To Flirt: The TED XXX Talk comedy review – A keynote for singles

Adelaide, get ready for a major improvement to the singles on Hindley Street. With Daisy Doris May’s character Steve Porters on the job, you’re guaranteed a leg up at the bar as we witness the reformation of the flirting game live. This isn’t your usual TED Talk: we’re not getting a lecture, we’re all here to grow together (with Porters’ help). Our super-chill keynote, delivered on a swivel chair with a vodka cruiser in hand, is based on a simple acronym with practical life advice and plenty of crowd-assisted live demonstrations.

Porters is your ultimate bro and incredibly in tune with the ladies. A seasoned flirt, it’s clear the audience consents to being in his safe hands while we’re living, laughing and loving together, all delivered with a Surrey charm. The tech crew’s impeccable timing on the visual and audio cues add the final touches to make comedy gold. The brave (or drunk) souls on the front row are picked on the most, but, in true flirtatious fashion, the love was shared all over the tent. This is an essential (and necessary) addition to your Adelaide Fringe comedy line-up.

How To Flirt: The TED XXX Talk, The Garden Of Unearthly Delights, until Sunday 23 March, times vary.
