The List Festival Party Adelaide announces packed line-up

The List Festival Party Adelaide is almost here and will take place on Monday 24 February at The Courtyard Of Curiosities At The Migration Museum. Tickets are on sale now for $25, with two complimentary gin and tonics from Hendrick's Gin included with your ticket.

Our annual shindigs at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe have become world famous for their exciting atmosphere and packed roster of the hottest acts to hit the city. We’re bringing that same chaotic spirit to Adelaide, kicking off the Fringe with a knockout party and 18 of the best shows performing across the CBD, giving punters the chance to sample dance, comedy, drag, cabaret and more in one invigorating space.

In the Courtyard, DJ Tania will be keeping the tunes flowing alongside the Hendrick’s Gin Bar. Over in the Yurt, Carmel Clavin will MC for Bisexual Intellectuals, Kirsty Mann, Selena Mersey, Scout Boxall, and Pope Benedict The IX.

In the Chapel, host Brendan Ludlow will welcome onstage The Heart May Or May Not Go On, Beating Up The Beatles, Aether and BITE. Also in the line-up is An Evening Without Kate Bush, which we awarded four stars at last year’s Adelaide Fringe, writing, 'Packed full of glorious moments (which change every night, depending on the audience), you don’t even have to be a Bush fan to enjoy the show; there’s enough humour and irreverence that it stands alone. Needless to say though, if you are a fan this will add another layer of richness, because Young knows her stuff, sings her stuff, dances her stuff and ultimately wants to share her stuff with you.’ Read the full review

Meanwhile, The Gallery will feature SWAN?, HELIOS, Chicken, A Friend Of Dorothy: Anthems Of Pride, and a step back in time with So Fresh! Hits Of The 2000s, with hosting duties from the self-described ‘pansexual time-travelling songbird raconteur’ Adore Händel.

Ten Thousand Hours

A treasure trove of roaming acts will descend on the party, including circus performers The Oracle and the wildly entertaining shenanigans of The Lady Boys Of Bangkok. Ten Thousand Hours will also enter the fray, a dance troupe who we awarded five stars at last year’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe, writing, 'It’s clear every member of this troupe has put in their 10,000 hours and the result is nothing short of breathtaking. They are living proof practice makes perfect.’ Read the full review

The party is a further demonstration of our commitment to cover the Adelaide Fringe. Earlier this year, for the first time, we had a team of six writers who reviewed 105 shows across 12 genres and 30 venues. In total, we handed out 399 stars, including 17 five-star shows. Meanwhile, the latest edition of our Adelaide Summer Festivals Guide is out now. Featuring local and international talent, including Tash York, Lewis Major, Adelaide Dance Theatre, Josh Glanc, Trent Dalton and Dr Lou Bennett AM, the guide is available for free all over the city, at Adelaide Airport, or online
