The List Festival Party comes to Adelaide

For the first time ever, we're bringing our List Festival Party to the Adelaide Fringe. For 29 years, we've hosted a party in Edinburgh to kick off the Scottish capital's numerous festivals taking place every summer.

And now, we're bringing our expertise to South Australia for the first ever List Festival Party Adelaide. Taking place at The Courtyard Of Curiosities on Monday 24 February from 8pm to late, and supported by House Of Oz, guests can expect to enjoy up to 15 acts (cabaret, comedy, music and more) across three spaces and a DJ in the courtyard. It's the perfect way to get Adelaide under way, and guests (ages 18+) can enjoy a couple of drinks, courtesy of Hendrick's Gin.

It's a further demonstration of our commitment to cover the Adelaide Fringe. Earlier this year, for the first time, we had a team of six writers who reviewed 105 shows across 12 genres and 30 venues. In total, we handed out 399 stars, including 17 five-star shows. Next year, we plan to beat that total and cover even more of the Adelaide Fringe. We don't charge for reviews or insist that reviewed shows take out advertising (although it does help us to keep supporting the arts when they do!): everything is up for editorial consideration.

As well as comprehensive online coverage, we'll also be publishing our third Adelaide Summer Festivals Guide. Full colour, and packed with features and previews of all Adelaide's Festivals, it will be bigger than ever at 80 pages. Featuring local and international talent, including Tash York, Lewis Major, Adelaide Dance Theatre, Josh Glanc, Trent Dalton and Dr Lou Bennett AM, the guide will be available for free all over the city and at the airport from Wednesday 29 January to the end of the summer.

The List has been reviewing theatre, comedy, music and more ever since our first issue was published in 1985 and we recently established our List Festival Awards, a further commitment to our championing of the arts.
