The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo comes to Brisbane
Scotland’s famous military show returns to Australia for the first time since 2019

Scotland’s world-famous Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo is on its way to Brisbane, Queensland, in February 2026, and tickets are on sale now. Long a staple of Scotland’s cultural calendar, the event is swapping the Scottish capital for the sunny stands of Suncorp Stadium. Making its first-ever appearance in the Queensland capital and its first return to Australia since 2019, the Tattoo will feature a full-scale production from Thursday 12–Sunday 15 February.
Titled The Heroes Who Made Us, this special 75th anniversary edition promises stirring music, precision-drilled military spectacle and a mash-up of tradition and theatrical flair. It’ll feature pipes and drums, highland dancers and more than 1,000 performers from across the UK, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and beyond, all brought together in a stadium-sized salute to honour, community, resilience and pride.
Highlights include the Massed Pipes and Drums featuring UK Military musicians, fan-favourites Top Secret Drum Corps and contributions from the Australian Defence Force. The event will celebrate our shared values with a showcase of stirring anthems, traditional Scottish culture and bold choreography.

With a reputation for constantly evolving while maintaining its historical roots, the Tattoo continues to reinvent itself for global audiences. This Brisbane debut offers something both familiar and fresh: a spectacle steeped in Scottish heritage, reimagined under the stars in one of Australia’s most iconic venues.
Jason Barrett, CEO of the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, said: ‘The response from Queensland has been phenomenal. To be announcing third and fourth shows at Suncorp Stadium is a true testament to the excitement and passion Australians have for the Tattoo. As we count down to our historic debut in Brisbane, we’re more inspired than ever to deliver a world-class spectacle that honours tradition, celebrates community, and leaves a lasting legacy in Queensland.’
