Sink Or Sing! An Interactive Cabaret review: A sparkling show with potential
Amelie Peters leads this very promising cabaret

Sink Or Sing! arrives with serious musical muscle and a clear sense of artistic integrity. From the first note, the band proves they’re not here to play nice: they’re here to play well. The musicianship is genuinely impressive: tight, confident, and polished in a way that only comes from real graft. There’s a warmth and richness to the sound that wraps around the room and refuses to let go. Credit where it’s due, the workmanship on display is top shelf.
Vocally, Amelie Peters' lead delivers solid work throughout too. There’s control, tone, and just enough tease of power to keep you leaning forward. You get the strong sense that on the right night, when the stars align and the adrenaline kicks in, they could absolutely blow the roof clean off the venue.
The show itself has excellent bones. You can feel the intention, the heart, and the creative vision working hard beneath the surface. Where it could improve is through sharper structural shaping. It’s already promising; with a bit more tightening of the narrative flow and pacing, this could easily tip into full-blown runaway success. It’s close. Very close.
Sink Or Sing! An Interactive Cabaret continues at BankSA Theatre at Gluttony until March 1.
