Join us beside the glittering Water of Deugh, beneath the broad shoulders of south-west Scotland’s great mountain peaks, to celebrate some of the finest music from the Celtic diaspora – and far beyond.

The Knockengorroch site is a stunning mountain riverside meadow, tucked away in the hills and far from the trappings of modern life – a place of rare seclusion and natural beauty. Born from a deep love of the land, roots music and shared celebration, Knockengorroch Festival brings together outstanding music, arts and workshops at an event run by a family, for families – in the widest sense of the word.

A bigger festival in a smaller pot, Knockengorroch offers a rich mix of sounds: traditional music from across continents and cultures (including Scottish ceilidh), plus jazz, drum and bass, dub, reggae, world music, pop, hip-hop, house, techno, trance, fusions galore and more. You’d be hard-pressed to find a line-up this unique and diverse.

This year’s theme is ‘survival’, and the line-up includes African Head Charge, Dub Pistols, Rokia Kone, Elephant Sessions, Kinnaris Quintet and Mungo’s Hi Fi Sound System.

There’s also a packed programme of environmental and heritage workshops, theatre, dance, arts and crafts – and plenty for the kids too.
