Glengoyne Distillery
Nestled below the distinctive peak of Dumgoyne at the western edge of the Campsie Fells is Glengoyne Distillery, promising tours and drams for whisky lovers and weary walkers. The distillery has been continuously producing whisky since 1833, and is known for its leisurely approach to fermentation and distilling, claiming to have the slowest stills in Scotland. It’s also uniquely placed, straddling the Highland Boundary Fault, with its stills in the Highlands, but its nearby maturing casks are over the boundary in the Lowlands. There is an on-site shop, and a range of visitor experiences include tastings and tours, or the premium Malt Master Experience featuring a chance to create your own whisky.
