Stuart McCluskey did much to popularise taco culture in Edinburgh, and his confident touch is evident in every aspect of this banging wee place. The cocktail list is short and punchy: the spicy Margarita is as strong as it should be, with fiery crushed chilli rim. The menu splits between antojitos (sharing dishes) and pairs of tacos (sharing optional). Try their sopes de choripapa: thick chewy corn patties, topped with creamy refried beans, crisp potatoes, chorizo or cauliflower, and a generous flurry of goat’s cheese. Battered cod with charcoal and squid ink crema and fresh coriander is also a hit and every taco pair is intriguing and different. Walk-ins only.
