The Dutch hotel group’s Glasgow outlet can feel a bit youth clubby but their rooftop restaurant is a grown-up affair offering a rare chance to dine while looking down upon the city through big windows. It’s a smart space, full of soothing terracotta and earthy shades, with a central bar doing cocktails and tequila. There’s also an outdoor terrace to enjoy the view with the seagulls, which can be breezy. Food is casual small-plates focusing on Tex-Mex dishes, predominantly tacos, including barbacoa beef with pickled veggies, and crispy-coated aubergine with sour cherry harissa. Most enjoyable is the papa dorada, basically a giant chip, golden crispy exterior to soft inside, with pasilla pepper mayo.
