Amateur production by arrangement with Lazy Bee Scripts Joan believes her life is practically over now she has been placed in a retirement home. Longer-term residents Agnes and Teddy try to convince her that life is still worth living and age isn't a barrier. Damian Woods has a background in education and has published numerous plays for young people that are entertaining and compelling. Written and directed by Tim Rowland. Be enchanted with a collection of short stories that are inspired by the Aesopica, a collection of fables credited to Aesop, a slave and storyteller who lived in ancient Greece between 620 and 564 BCE, that are utilised to teach good and evil to this day. Our telling of a selection of such fables shall include a Prologue performed by Hassocks Drama Collective Junior Group, as well as six short stories that will be performed by Lewes Drama Collective Adult Group: Episode One: The Fox and The Stork The Bear and the Travellers Episode Two: The Tortoise and The Hare Episode Three: The Shepherds Boy and The Wolf Episode Four: The Bear and The Travellers Episode Five: The Tortoise and The Eagle Episode Six: The Old Lady and The Doctor Interval There will be a comfort break time during the afternoon when fresh cake, coffee, tea and soft drinks will be available.
