A group of musicians who put equal emphasis on "acoustic", "Beatles" and "shambles". The Acoustic Beatles Shambles grew from a chance meeting at an after hours music session at a Watlington pub. It is not a Beatle tribute band as such. There are no electric guitars, no drums, and no pretensions to be a slick note-for-note reproduction. Rather it reflects that Beatle songs have become a folk music of our time. The audience is involved in choosing from the 188 original and 25 cover songs recorded and released by the band between 1962 and 1970.
