Afterglow is a poetic and raw ensemble piece set in the neon-soaked hours after a nightclub begins to shut down. The story follows a group of twenty-somethings made up of club goers and bartenders. They collide in the vulnerable space that exists when the music fades and the walls between strangers begin to dissolve. Over the course of one night, confessions are made, relationships shift, and the characters confront the truth behind the personas they wear on the dance floor. The show explores themes of identity, intimacy, and the search for connection. It looks at how nightlife culture allows people to escape, experiment, and perform different versions of themselves, while also exposing how fragile those performances become when the lights come on.
