12-piece powerhouse Agbeko are inspired by the lineage of Afrobeat from Fela Kuti to Antibalas via modern-day psychedelia of The Heliocentrics, writing their own chapter combining Ethio-jazz, Protest Song and avant-rock.

An onslaught of horns, driven grooves, moving lyrics and cathartic soloing, Agbeko consistently perform major UK festivals including Green Man, Kendal Calling, Boomtown and Manchester Jazz Festival, as well as in France, Italy, Spain, Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia and Malta. They represented hometown Manchester in WOMEX24’s opening concert.

Coming out of Oslo’s vibrant music scene, Sūn Byrd brings a fresh take on modern soul, deeply rooted in the 60s and 70s popular music.

Sūn Byrd is a recently formed band that released their self-titled debut album, ‘Sūn Byrd’, in the spring of 2024, with the first single, ‘Half the Truth,’ reaching more than 100 000 streams across streaming platforms.

Even though Johan sings the songs, all members of the seven-piece band contribute songs and musical ideas, which strengthens the band’s personality and makes their sound special. With their unique and energising style, Sūn Byrd is ready to take the step beyond Norway’s borders.
