Aldeburgh Summer Theatre - See How They Run, by Philip King
See How They Run, by Philip King Aldeburgh Jubilee Hall 21st July to 26th July 2025 The ultimate English Farce, produced during the height of WWII. In an idyllic English village, the resident busy-body is convinced that the ex-actress vicars wife is having an affair. Classic mistaken-identity mayhem follows, with a handsome visiting actor, a baffled Bishop, a clueless locum priest, an escapee German POW, banging doors, missing trousers, and a madcap chase with almost everyone claiming to be the real vicar. On the West End opening night, three German flying bombs exploded nearby. No-one budged until the final curtain. 1940s Brits really did Keep Calm and Carry On Laughing! Running time approximately 2hrs with interval. Tickets 16 or 22 depending on location. Evenings Monday to Saturday 7:30pm and Matinees 4pm on Thursdays and Saturdays. (For further information, disabled access, or group bookings please call 01728 343344.) Suitable for all ages - we look forward to welcoming you.
