Alex Rita presents: Calm Roots Live with Lion Milk, Paul Camo & Rahel This spe­cial evening marks the first iter­a­tion of Calm Roots, a project by Alex Rita from Touch­ing Bass that has been a long time in the making. LA-based pianist, producer and composer, Lionmilk, Paul Camo (DJ) and sound therapist, Rahel join her for an evening of introspective and intentional listening. They share space at Faith In Strangers for the debut of Calm Roots Live in Margate. PLEASE NOTE: \- Bring your own floor mats/cushions/pillows and some comfortable clothing, ready for a grounding session on the floor. \- Faith In Strangers will be operating a tasty, non-alcoholic drinks menu for guests Calm Roots is a subtle practice by Alex Rita centring introspection, rest and slow paced living, through intimate performances, DJ sets and holistic health. What started as a two-hour NTS Radio exploration (2019) of the meditative corners of her collection, has led to commissions for Lisson Gallery (for OJAS/Devon Turnbull: HiFi Listening Room Dream No. 1), Tate Modern, White Cube and We Out Here festival, as well as collaborations with Nala Sinephro, sound therapist, Rahel Debebe-Dessalegne and Rohan Ayinde.
