Alexandra Căpitănescu is a Romanian singer and songwriter who rose to prominence after winning the 11th season of Vocea României (The Voice of Romania) in 2023. Signed with Universal Music Romania, she released her debut EP, "Căpitanu'", in April 2024, showcasing her unique voice and evolving sound, which leans towards pop-rock and soft rock, while also incorporating heavier rock elements.

Her latest significant endeavor is representing Romania at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 with her song "Choke Me", where she performed in the second semi-final on May 14, 2026. The song, described as a powerful rock piece with opera influences.

After performing in the second semi-final on May 14, 2026, she advanced to the grand final and secured a top-three finish. As of May 20, 2026, "Choke Me" has accumulated nearly 6 million streams on Spotify
