Alternative Comedy Memorial Society (Acms) on Monday April 13th
Minimum one host. Umpteen guests. 7:30pm start. Permitted heckles. Varying price structure. Much comedy★★★. One quiz. Some failure. NO JERKS. All taking place in The Phoenix (by Oxford Circus tube), 37 Cavendish Square, W1G 0PP.

Thom Tuck (fruity, befuddled and increasingly melancholy The Guardian).

Either pay full price (£10), get an £8 ticket (it's just Slightly Cheaper! no audience participation involved!) or go for a £12 'A Good Book By A Good Woman' ticket and receive a 2nd hand book by an author who can write words good. You will be able to choose which of the books - by e.g. Jessie Cave, Natalie Haynes, Julia Raeside, Curtis Sittenfeld or Isy Suttie - to take home, from a lovely stack available on the door from 7pm.
NB Everyone will get the chance to participate in The Handmaid's Tale quiz. No additional purchase necessary! Some revision advantageous! QUIZ!

★★★ It's a celebration of inventive comedy that's become a cult, with its overstuffed bills, permitted heckles and you-had-to-be-there moments that would never work in a conventional comedy club. (Chortle)
