Alternative Comedy Memorial Society (ACMS) on Monday June 9th
Minimum one host. Umpteen guests. 7:30pm start. Permitted heckles. Varying price structure. Much comedy★★★. Some failure. NO JERKS. All taking place in The Phoenix (by Oxford Circus tube), 37 Cavendish Square, W1G 0PP. Thom Tuck (fruity, befuddled and increasingly melancholy The Guardian) You have a small range of ticket options. £10, standard ticket £7, Early Bird ticket (it's just cheaper) £11.50, Flowers For Algernon ticket (you get a copy of Daniel Keyes' excellent novel, and possibly some other treats/'treats') ★★★ It's a celebration of inventive comedy that's become a cult, with its overstuffed bills, permitted heckles and you-had-to-be-there moments that would never work in a conventional comedy club.
