An Evening With Adam Beattie And Fiona Bevan At Cafe No9

An Evening With Adam Beattie And Fiona Bevan At Cafe No9
Adam Beattie's May 2024 Tour will promote the first single from his upcoming album Home Fires
Burning. For this tour, songwriter/fingerstyle guitarist Beattie will be double headlining with
multiplatinum Canadian-British singer-songwriter Fiona Bevan. Since meeting onstage in London,
Beattie and Bevan have been singing in close harmony and accompanying each other on guitar,
piano and double bass.

Adam Beattie's new album is a homespun epic which explores family, legacy and an evolving
relationship to his hometown of Inverurie, in the north east of Scotland. The songs are connected by
a narrative that echoes the classic hero's journey of departure, adventure and the return home.
With melodies inspired by the traditional fiddle tunes of his childhood, played on finger-picked
acoustic guitar, we are cinematically transported to Scotland. Beattie invites us to get to know his
Mum and Dad, and it makes us think about our own families. It's a very personal story with great
universal appeal, reflecting on what really matters, delivered in Beattie's trademark timeless, lyrical,
mesmerising sound.

The tour will also celebrate the release of Fiona Bevan's first single from her upcoming EP First
Woman On The Moon, a set of brand new songs exploring borders, hope, love, sex and femaleness
against a political backdrop. The EP beckons us deeper into the cinematic dream-folk she created in
her most recent record Girl With Telescope, "startling odysseys that suggest Joanna Newsom and
Kate Bush spine-tinglingly joined" (The Guardian).

Please note this ticket price DOES include a byo/corkage fee should you want to bring alcohol to the venue.

All additional purchases of drinks and snacks from the cafe counter are always very much appreciated.
