Oh hey, I didn't see you there, I was too busy getting lost in Art School Girlfriend's cotton-candy-cloud soundscapes. Her daydream-inducing tracks are like lullabies for your wike awake mind. Despite being raised on new wave, she does an incredible job of making dream-pop her shtick. There are nods to her past life fronting a shoegaze band with darker, gothic elements creeping in here and there like a nightmare waiting to interrupt your coveted sleep cycle.
