los angeles dakar banjul London

A cross-pollinating, internationally Senegambian evening, bringing together two musical worlds that have been connected for many years.

Traveling from Los Angeles, Canadian-American singer-songwriter ASHLEY MAHER returns to London to reconnect with her long-term UK fans. Her last London show at The Green Note was sold out.

Ashley opens the evening with songs from her earlier catalogue, gradually building into the newer, more fiery mbalax and Senegambian material that has become such a vital part of her sound.

Then world-pop artist KAW SECKA takes the stage with the same band, carrying the groove forward and turning up the heat - moving into pure mbalax, Afrobeat, and Senegambian rhythms.

One band. Two artists. Two musical journeys flowing into one another.

Expect a sweet night of connection, rhythm, dance and song-stories - and a joyful musical exchange between London, Los Angeles, Dakar, and Banjul.
