Carmina Burana, Carl Orff

and works by Kerry Andrew and Arvo Pärt

Sunday 30 November 7.30pm

Bearsden Choir performs the ever popular, powerful and dramatic Carmina Burana. “O Fortuna” and its appearances in films, television and commercials, has made Carmina Burana famous and here we have the chance to experience the whole work in the exciting version for two piano and percussion. The medieval texts explore the topics of fortune, wealth, life’s joys and the dangers of indulgence - in other words the universality of human experience! We are delighted to be joined by the Percussion Ensemble from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and NYCOS Stirling Choir to make this a performance to remember!
