Album release party! 'We Wanna Be There', Becca Lovelace's 2nd album is raw, dynamic and about that innate sense of freedom, the solo kind, that connects us to our true sense of self. It reflects on sexual encounters, bad trips turned good and the unconscious rituals we hold with us from childhood. Her sound is hard to place but she finds inspiration from Bill Callahan, PJ Harvey, Jeff Buckley,Tune-Yards and The Dirty Projectors. The record is joyful, hopeful, sexy and distinctive. She celebrated her previous album here at Paperdress and is delighted to come back on stage with her band. The first single from the album, 'A.M. Departure', was played by Nemone BBC6 and her debut album ‘Lands’ released in 2016, was a favourite of Lauren Laverne and garnered copious rave reviews. She plays with a full band.
