Belle Époque @VicBar: Telekinephews + Sloblin + Bojangles + Moonsoup

The lionised Vic Bar, once the meeting ground for Scotland’s top cultural exports including Travis, Franz Ferdinand, Belle & Sebastian, Camera Obscura and The View closed its portal to the future of the arts back in 2014. Gone were the days of freaky live acts in costumes, an incredible array of experimental personalities and the expectation of a night to respect the unexpected.
Until now that is.
January 23, 2025, marked a significant moment, patching up the torn knee of Glasgow’s tartan skinnies with the reopening of the Vic Bar. On Saturday 17th of May the first instalment of alternative gig nights re-enters the union with Belle Époque.
Belle Époque is a new series of events created by DIY music enthusiasts Telekinephews and their event label Big Nephew Music. These events aim to revive the soul of eclectic arts music, channelling the energy of the city’s creative roots and reintroducing The Vic Bar as the heart of Glasgow's underground scene. This series is a direct successor to Dream Fest, the sold-out micro-festival held at the Gallowgate’s multi-arts venue The Dream Machine (RIP January 25).
