Benedictine lectures 2026: Liturgy and Music in the Medieval Customary
Norwich Cathedral was founded in 1096 as a cathedral and Benedictine monastery combined. The monastic life came to an end in 1538, leaving an indelible stamp on the life and ministry of this Cathedral. In celebration of a tradition that speaks powerfully to the needs of our world today, this summer Norwich Cathedral hosts a series of lectures on the Benedictine tradition in many facets of historic and contemporary life.

This vlecture is given by the Revd Canon Professor Sally Harper, Director of Spirituality in the Diocese of St Asaph. Cost 5 plus booking fee. To book for the entire series at the reduced cost of 50, [email protected], 01603 218443.

Booking closes at 3pm on the day of the lecture.
