London based alt-soul/ indie songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer Bernardo was born in East Ham, London, to Portuguese parents, before being uprooted and moved to her mothers village in central Portugal at the age of 8. Surrounded by the sounds of traditional Portuguese Fado and her older brothers alternative music collection that was a source of great distress in the house, Bernardo started writing her own compositions at the age of 11. At 17, the rebellious teenager followed the sound back to London where she began honing her craft as a producer and guitarist, and word of her incredible voice and song writing skill began to catch on. She has worked with Roxy Music's Phil Manzanera, Django Django, Skinny Pelembe, Sean O'Hagan, and many Presented by Morocco Bound. This is an 18+ event
