Big Big Sky

Big Big Sky
Written by Tom Wells | Directed by Darren Brierley Warm, funny and quietly profound, Big Big Sky is a beautiful play about love, loss, and finding your way when the tide pulls you off course. Set in a seaside caf on the East Yorkshire coast, Big Big Sky follows caf manager Angie and waitress Lauren as they navigate their lives, their customers, and each other. When newcomer Ed arrives with a quiet charm and a past hes still making sense of, the rhythm of their days begins to shift. Full of gentle humour and big-hearted characters, Tom Wells play explores the fragility and resilience of ordinary lives. Against the backdrop of gulls, salt air, and endless skies, it reminds us how kindness, connection and a decent cup of tea can help us weather the storms. A tender and uplifting story about hope, healing and the magic in the everyday. Content warning: This production contains themes of grief and emotional trauma, with some strong language. While it has moments of levity and warmth, some scenes may not be suitable for younger audiences. Please note: Doors will open at 7pm for evening performances and 2pm for matinees, to allow our volunteers and cast time to prepare the theatre. If you arrive earlier, you may be asked to wait outside. Thank you for your understanding!
