Blackadder The Third: Set during the Regency era, Blackadder serves as the cynical and scheming butler to the dim-witted Prince Regent, George. Unlike previous series, where Blackadder was a noble or military figure, here he is a servant, constantly attempting to manipulate the foolish prince for his own gain. He is aided (or hindered) by his idiotic and filthy dogsbody, Baldrick. We can assure you that the normal Blackadder sarcastic wit is ever present, as he deals with historical events, absurd schemes, and figures such as the Pitt the Younger and Samuel Johnson. The production follows Blackadders attempts to outwit rivals, get rich, and rise above his lowly statusall while navigating the incompetence of the Prince Regent.
