Boston Marriage by David Mamet

Boston Marriage by David Mamet
Boston Marriage was a 19th century American euphemism to describe a relationship between two women - one that we would now label as gay..Set in a 19th century Boston drawing room, the two middle-aged main protagonists are Anna and Claire. Anna is kept by a married man but prefers the company of women and that of Claire in particular. Unfortunately Claire has her sights set on another young woman and is keen to enlist Annas assistance with a view to seduction. But totally conflicting agendas are brought to bear which combine to make this comedy of manners a highly entertaining spectacle. Directed by David Parton, it features performances from Sue Williams, Denise Evans and Emily Feist.
