Brandon McPhee: A Tribute to Sir Jimmy Shand

Sir Jimmy Shand remains the most iconic influential accordionist the world has ever known. His music not only shaped the sound of his generation but also for musicians that followed Brandon McPhee was four years old when Jimmy died, yet his music has guided and inspired him through his life.This is the 25th anniversary of Jimmys death. A special celebration of Jimmy's music and much more.
At the age of 17, Brandon won the All Scottish Accordion Championship, the first time in almost 30 years that a button key accordion had won this competition. After spending a number of years honing his craft in music, not only has his accordion earned him professional status but also his vocals.
From accolades in the Scottish Parliament to Royal audiences, including performances for The King, Brandon's impact resonated far and wide, his performances for, international dignitaries including Margot Robbie and James Nesbitt also at esteemed institution Oxford and Cambridge University for an anniversary Scottish Country Dance and thousands of supporters who already support Brandon at his concerts and theatre shows. He has recorded duets with Daniel O' Donnell, superstars Foster and Allen, Tony Allen and has shared the stage with them. As well as Gene Watson, Van Morrison, Radney Foster plus many more.
