Brighton Dub Club returns with an incredible line up for another night of bass heavy roots reggae and dub sound system culture all powered by Dende Sound’s hand built custom Dub Rig… well just half of it to be honest coz the whole ting would shake down the building! Our guests for this session will be Selector Vinny Kullar of Roots Youths Records for the first time in Brighton alongside Ramon Judah ‘pon de mic, and what a night this is set to be! Roots Youths Records have been active in the UK Roots and Culture music scene since the nineties through their record store and events while striving to showcase new and upcoming dub and reggae artists through their renowned record label. Vinny Kullar is a well-respected selector in his own right who also runs his own sound system, record label and radio show on Life FM. Vinny will be joined on the mic by Ramon Judah who hails from a tradition of music as his father was a star in Liverpool back in the day. Ramon was influenced by early Soundsystem culture and was singing in the dancehall from an early age. He then travelled the world singing reggae with bands from New Zealand to The USA and is now settled in London where he has worked alongside many of the greats in the UK scene. He has sung with various sounds over the years including Jah Youth and more recently as the main host for the well-known Reggae Roast nights. He has recorded with some of the best UK Reggae & Dub producers including Bush Chemist, Manasseh, Disciples, Adrian Sherwood and others. Brighton Dub Club will be hosted by Brighton’s very own Dende Sound who have been active for the last 10 years in Sussex bringing their heavy-weight home built stack of speakers and positive vibes to the people. Selectors Bambaman and Edi Yoyo will be joined by Mc Trooper and live musicians from the Dende family to bring you a night full of riddim, bass and soulful upliftment.
