By the scent of the cherry blossom

For a few, brief, summer months, the fortunate folk who live or travel through the Garden of England are able to experience the wonder that is the Kentish Cherry.
Bathed in physical performance, puppetry, visual poetry and clowning, By the Scent of the Cherry Blossom is a mini collection of fascinating tales that give voice to the world of cherry the orchard dwellers, the sellers, the enthusiastic buyers, the myths, the legends, the infamous and sometimes surprising recipes.
Created from stories collected in the community and devised by storytelling puppeter, Jo Munton , and Dancer and clown, Natali Castro, the show is an ode to the living heritage of our cherry orchards at a time in which they are in danger of disappearing, and a prayer for a life led by seasons that brings us all in closer connection with older, slower rhythms in our sped-up whirlwind worlds.
Vagabondi Puppets work is described as 'spellbinding' (Manchester Evening News), powerful (The Scotsman), 'atmospheric' (The Herald), fascinating (BBC) and 'thrillingly immediate' (Financial Times)
