Suggested groups (please try to make sure you are in the right group - you can check with others if not sure. If you are a stronger rider in a group please listen to others so that you keep to the pace that everyone can sustain):
Social group 19km/h (12mph)
Steady group 24-25km/h (15-16mph)
Middle group 27-28km/h (17-18mph)
Fast group 30-32km/h (19-20mph)
Rider leader to be determined prior to the start of the ride by each group.
Usual reminder: these rides are non-drop. You need to all look out for each other, communicate clearly and listen to each other. This will make for a safer and more enjoyable ride for all. Please bring enough clothing/spares/equipment/food/money/phone/emergency contact details to enable you to be self-sufficient should anything averse occur. Advertised routes are suggested routes and are subject to change even at the last minute or during the ride due to weather conditions, mechanical issues, group tiredness etc. I would strongly recommend that all riders joining familiarise themselves with the route, and if possible bring this loaded on their headunit for the day (and make sure you are clear with your group on the day which of the route options you are doing).
Under 18s
In addition, any rider who is under 18 must have a completed a parental consent form. This must be printed out and given to the coach/ride leader or coach at the start of the event. Please note that parents are responsible for transporting under-18s to and from events and for letting coaches/ride leaders know if their child has permission to travel home independently.
