Ceilidh for Co-operation Sheffield

Ceilidh for Co-operation Sheffield
A fund raising ceilidh for Co-operation Sheffield, a voluntary group focused on helping communities to help themselves. "In a time of economic instability, highly politicised culture, and a political system which feels less and less fit to meet the needs of ordinary people, we believe that honest, productive conversations in a community setting are a key part of what's missing. With a strong belief that decisions about our communities are best made by those who live and work in them, we organise and facilitate neighbourhood assemblies with a view to making tangible, positive changes in the places we live in and love. We find time and again in assemblies that people have a lot more in common than they realise when it comes to the most important issues we face in our daily lives, and when we put our heads together, we can do something about them." There will be ceilidh dancing to the music of the Well Dressed Band, and a bar and raffle (please bring cash). All dances will be called, and no experience necessary. Just come and have fun! Please bring food to share for a pot luck supper. You won't need to eat before you come. There is always plenty! Please note that doors open at 6.30 pm, and dancing will start at 7 pm.
