Since winning his first competition in Leeds (Yorkshire Open Elvis Contest) he went on in 2004 to win the prestigious Elvis academy in York. Jim qualified for the final of Europes top Elvis competition in 2005, 2006 and 2009 beating many top Tributes from all over the UK and Europe. He has performed at the Elvis extravaganza show in Blackpool, where Elviss backing singers (the Sweet Inspirations) and members of Elviss TCB Band came to enjoy the show. The Sweet Inspirations even backed some of Jims songs. He has performed twice with Americas number one Elvis Tribute Artist Doug Church.
