A worker stands trial. Accused of illegally dumping chemicals. They are held accountable for their actions, but is that the full story? Central Youth Theatre presents 'Stitched Up' a devised piece which utilises physical theatre to give an insight into the toxic world of fashion. Developed by the young people to explore the highly debated themes of greed, influence and guilt. Asking the question; Are we all getting Stitched Up?
Wish Upon A Star
12 of our senior members aged 12-18 staged this brand new devised piece as part of an international exchange with the award winning Italian Youth Theatre TPZ in Wolverhampton in May 20 25.
1,440 minutes. 86,400 seconds. One ordinary day or a doorway to something extraordinary? In a world where magic hums beneath the surface of everyday life, dreams are more than fleeting thoughtstheyre granted. Not by lamps, but by genies hidden in a call centre, bound by ancient spells, modern monotomy and the quiet curse of repetition. A call center that looks like any other but yet full of possibilities!
The genies only escape? To grant the rarest wish of all: a truly selfless one. A wish not for glory or richesbut for someone elses lifetime dream to come true.If you had the chance, would you live your greatest dream for just one dayor give someone theirs for a lifetime? And if your dream did come true would it be what you hoped for?A short luminous tale of magic, hope, and the wonder that lingers in the most unexpected places.
