Chamber Orchestra St Ives Winter Concert

Northern Lights: Music of Legends and Romance
The COSI Winter Concert celebrates the drama and beauty of Northern Europe, from the heroic sweep of Sibelius Finlandia to the lyrical charm of Sindings Rustle of Spring, the pageantry of Halvorsens Entry March of the Boyars, and the folk-inspired vitality of Griegs Symphonic Dances. The evenings centrepiece is Bruchs lyrical and romantic Violin Concerto in G minor, performed by Richard Roper, a long-standing pillar of Northamptonshires musical life through NMPAT, conductor of the Northamptonshire County Youth Orchestra, and a highly skilled violinist. We are honoured to accompany him in this timeless Romantic masterpiece.
