ClassicsFest Competition Finale

Can you make a persuasive argument to win 300?
The Lit & Phil and Alphabetti Theatre invite writers to submit new oratorical speeches inspired by the rhetoric style of the Roman orator Marcus Tullius Cicero (106-43 BC). You dont need to know anything about Cicero to submit an entry.
On Saturday 17th May, at Alphabetti Theatre, the winning entries will be chosen by the audience, following a performance of the 8 shortlisted entries.
Following a successful pilot festival in 2024, ClassicsFest returns to explore performance and politics using Cicero as a springboard for an exciting programme of discussions and performances.
