This young, award-winning Russian-Ukrainian duo, Cellist Svetlana Mochalova and pianist Slava Sidorenko, who have won multiple awards and performed at venues including the Purcell Room, the Barbican, Wigmore Hall and Glastonbury, bring you a feast of music for cello and piano to open our new season.

We share Sveta & Slava’s mission to reach out to new and diverse audiences so for this concert, you – the audience – vote for the music for the first half from their ‘a la carte’ menu which includes ‘Starters’ ‘Mains’ ‘Desserts’ and ‘Specials’, whilst the second half celebrates the 150th anniversary of the birth Sergei Rachmaninov with his richly emotional song, ‘Do not sing, my beauty, to me’ Op4 No. 4 and his highly romantic, Sonata for cello and piano in G minor Op 19. What could be more intriguing?

During their visit to Churchill Music, Sveta and Slava will be sharing their passion for music education, their enthusiasm and skills with students and pupils in local schools.
