Conjuring is a monthly live improvisation series curated by Studio Njoku, and presented by Club Cheek.

It brings together leading experimental musicians for collaborative, improvised performances. The project foregrounds musical dialogue, community building and spiritual expression.

Each show features a unique lineup of musicians performing a one-time improvisation around a motif developed by Tony Njoku.

Hinako Omori is a composer, musician and producer. Her music offers immersive sonic environments in which to process and access emotional states. Hers is music with spirit and awareness; inviting the listener to turn inwards. She has toured and collaborated with artists including Kae Tempest & Shabaka.

Laura Groves is a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter, exploring themes of inner-worlds, pattern, memory, healing and environments, mixing song and experimental synthesised sound and electronic layering. Her past collaborators include Actress, Sampha, & Fabiana Palladino.

Maxwell Sterling is a composer, producer, and double bassist. He's developed a distinct sound working with double bass and modular synthesisers, combining his interest in improvisatory jazz frameworks, orchestral music & electronic sounds.

Kenichi Iwasa is an improviser and multidisciplinary artist from Japan. Also known for his Krautrock Karaoke night, he has collaborated with musicians such as Beatrice Dillon, Tyson & Linder Sterling
