Do It Again Dan

Do It Again Dan
Do It Again Dan are a 13 piece band who play the laid back, jazzy West Coast music of Steely Dan. The arrangements include favourites such as 'Rikki Don’t Lose that Number', 'Reelin in the Years' and 'Do It Again', as well as many tracks from the Aja, Gaucho and the Night Fly albums. Do It Again Dan was formed in 2017 by brothers Dave and John Hutber, lifelong and passionate Steely Dan fans. The band has grown and now includes musicians from Malvern, Birmingham, Oxford, Bristol and Telford. Band members: Dave on keys, John- lead guitarist, Mark Powell- drums, Paul Bowness- bass guitar, Ryan Kelford- rhythm guitar, lead singer Eddie Paisley plus backing singers Zoe Hutber, Marie-Therese King and Gwen Woodfield, and 4 piece brass section- Dave and Ailith Rutt, Dave Cator, Sarah Berry, with Mike Halliday as dep. All the arrangements are by Dave Hutber, synthesised from a mixture of studio and live recordings with a few additions. Lighting and sound engineer- Mike Burstow. The band’s clear sound and vocals are also enabled by the band’s use of in-ear monitoring, which results in excellent clarity (even when accompanied by the Red Lion at Cradley’s resident guinea fowl!) Feedback from gigs has been fantastic. _"Just this second come back from the gig and I'm still blown away- yes BLOWN AWAY by the experience. What you've organised is miraculous and is possibly the most exciting band I've ever seen live. I mean it: the gig was surreal! Great rhythm section, great singers, horns, arrangements- everything was bang on. I won't sleep for a week now."- 'Stunned of Malvern' (David Gray- drummer) “Do It Again Dan pulled another blinder with a display of musical professionalism and vibrancy unsurpassed. I had the most amazing time watching and listening to the UK’s best Steely Dan tribute band. What a treat! Polished, rehearsed yet feeling fresh and exciting. A band that loves what they do and love playing for their fans."- Worcestershire musician_ The band will also be playing at Malvern Pride and the Red Lion, Cradley during the summer of 2023.
