Come join us for a magical day of celebration, art and performances at Dovecot Dreamkeeping Society's, 'Dovecot Day of Dreams', a family friendly art and performance event for all ages. Dreamkeeping HQ is where all the precious dreams gathered from local residents are carefully inspected and processed. But all is not well in our office in the sky, one of our most forgetful Dreamkeepers has left an important file open overnight and some of the dreams have gotten loose! Book a place on our theatrical trail and join the mission to catch the lost dreams of Dovecot! Meet our weird and wonderful characters and experience all the artworks created in collaboration with over 300 community members of all ages from the Dovecot area, inspired by the fantastical dreams and memories of local people. Witness the unveiling of street art legend John Culshaw's latest mural on Dovecot Parade, created in collaboration with the Dreamkeeping Society, to celebrate the stories and dreams of the people of Dovecot and Knotty Ash. The Dovecot Dreamkeeping Society is an artistic residency led by artist Izzie Major and supported by a public art commission by John Culshaw. This fictional organisation is dedicated to preserving the memories and dreams of the different generations of the Knotty Ash and Dovecot Park area. Dovecot Dreamkeeping Society has been commissioned by Liverpool City Council’s Culture Liverpool team as part of its Creative Neighborhoods programme and supported by the UK’s Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF). The residency was also supported by a public art commission delivered by John Culshaw and funded by UKSPF and Local Neighbourhood Fund.
