Educating Rita will take audiences back to the 1980s, an unforgettable decade defined by its changing politics, economy, fashion, and music. The play explores the poignant, funny, and unlikely relationship between working-class Liverpool hairdresser Rita, and jaded university
professor Frank. Both are looking for a way out from lives that, in different ways, inhibit them.

Complete opposites, the pair clash frequently - at the same time fascinated by the fact that the other has something they dont. Through their relationship and the transformative power of education, they begin a process of self-discovery that may eventually set them free.
