This course is for mothers, fathers and carers of all children. We offer adult only courses and adult and child courses. Where adults attend with a child, children need to be at least 6 years of age. Adults will participate fully in the activity and supervise their children throughout. This course is designed to: · Equip families to be able to manage an incident in which people are ill or have been injured and take care of them until medical help is available. · Support interaction, provide quality time for families to have fun and learn together, strengthen relationships, build confidence and extend communication. Content will include all/some of the following: · The emergency procedure and making an emergency phone call · Placing a casualty into the recovery position · Using the primary survey · Recognize and treat choking · Treat and monitor bleeding, minor bruising and burns · Practice cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) This is a 3 week course: 03/11/2023 12:30-2:30pm 10/11/2023 12:30-2:30pm 17/11/2023 12:30-2:30pm
