Create a unique fused glass winter scene which will stand in a Leicestershire-made wooden base. During this three-hour workshop you will use clear sheet and a wide range of accessory glass to create your own design. Bring images to work from if you wish to, or tutor Katherine will provide ideas to inspire you. No experience of working with glass is needed so this workshop is ideal for beginners and doesn’t involve any glass cutting, but it is also suitable for those who have completed a previous course and want to develop their skills. Tutor Katherine has been a practicing glass designer/maker for 15 years, and has an established studio in Tollerton. Her work is inspired by the natural world and the colour and clarity of glass. She shares her passion for working with glass by delivering workshops at an in troductory and more advanced level in glass fusing, copper foiling and traditional stained-glass panel making. This half-day workshop will run on two dates: Saturday 29 November 2025 orSaturday 6 December 2025 Please ensure you book the correct date! Our Festive Decorations in Fused Glass workshop will also be running on the same day if you’d like a full day of glass fusing! Our café will be open or you are welcome to bring your own refreshments. All materials are included in the course fee. Participants must be 14+. Under 18s must be accompanied by a paying adult at all times. We’ll then contact you if a place becomes available, with absolutely no obligation to accept it if you’ve made other plans! We have four blue badge parking spaces outside Attenborough Arts Centre, plus double yellow line roadside parking very close to the building for blue badge holders for up to three hours if our parking spaces are occupied. Free parking for all customers is available after 5pm on weekdays and all day at weekends in the University of Leicester car park next door to Attenborough Arts Centre on Lancaster Road. The closest public car park for parking at all other times is Victoria Park, 5-10 minutes walk from us.
