Fir, Wolfman and the Laterals and Drew Stephenson

Fundraiser for Sheffield General Cemetery featuring Fir, Wolfman and the Laterals and Drew Stephensonat The Samuel worth Chapel
Fir
Returning to the Samuel Worth Chapel, not-quite-yet-legendary Sheffield band Fir bring their intriguing blend of rock, Americana, and country-infused melodies to the stage.
Having spent too much time listening to Tom Petty, R.E.M. and Jason Isbell, their songs have thoughtful lyrics, laid-back warmth and bursts of foot-stomping drive.
Wolfman and the Laterals
From the streets of Sheffield, Wolfman and the Laterals deliver indie rock with a soul that runs deep. Forget the polished image this is music made by a bin man, an electrician, a door maker, and a university backroom lad, all united by a shared passion. Their sound? A potent blend of indie rock with a touch of country grit, forged in the city's heart and meant to be experienced live. They pour their lives into every note, crafting albums that capture the raw energy of their live shows.
Drew Stephenson
Drew Stephenson is a singer-songwriter based in York, UK, writing conventional songs about unconventional subjects. Death, monkeys and space hardware may all feature amongst tales sponsored by Irrational Geographic.
He's joined by Alex the Crazy Dane on guitar, demonstrating that great guitar playing doesn't have to be just for guitarists, and the inimitable Dr Jones, making all things beautiful on the cello and backing vocals.
Proceeds from this fundraising event go to SGCT to help us with our work looking after Sheffield General Cemetery and our 2 Grade II listed buildings and to inform and educate about the history of this unique green space.
