Cristian de S has been named a Young Classical Star by Classic FM and has been introduced to his audiences as one of the great violin stars of the future (Gulbenkian Orchestra) and poetic, wild, fierce a future giant among soloists (Concertgebouw, Amsterdam).
Following his recital debut at the Concertgebouw aged 24, de S was invited to perform as soloist in some of Europes most prestigious halls including Grande Auditrio, Lisbon with the Gulbenkian Orchestra, Athenuem Bucharest, Grand Hall Tbilisi State Conservatoire, Stiftung Mozarteum in Salzburg, Bechstein Hall, Wigmore Hall and the Salle Cortot in Paris. He has had the opportunity to perform alongside Renaud Capuon at his personal invitation and with Maxim Vengerov (Brahms Quintets in London), and has featured on BBC Radio 3, Classic FM, France Musique, RTP Portugal, TVR Romania, Magic Classical (formerly Scala Radio) and The Strad Magazine.
I Musicanti was formed in 2013 by its artistic director, the internationally renowned double bass virtuoso Leon Bosch. The artists who make up I Musicanti play in the finest orchestras and as soloists and chamber musicians; they appear in concert halls internationally and on recordings; they are based in Britain but come from around the world. What unites them is their ceaseless musical curiosity, a palpable sense of adventure and an unswerving commitment to excellence.
